This workshop will provide concrete strategies to help mental health professionals increase their multicultural competence.  The structure of the workshop will follow the APA Multicultural Guidelines and will help mental health professionals adapt the Guidelines to their work and roles in the clinical encounter.

Learning Objectives:
  1. Participants will increase their awareness and understanding of cultural factors in diagnostic and therapeutic processes.
  2. Participants will develop awareness, sensitivity, and understanding of various racial, religious, sexual orientation, cultural, and ethnic groups.
  3. Participants will acquire knowledge of the characteristics and needs of culturally diverse clients.
  4. Participants will identify and understand implications of professional issues relevant to multicultural therapeutic and assessment services.

**All registration must be completed through DCPA.  There will be NO on-site registration. **
